Performances by The Night Owls includes music by composers such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Irving Berlin, as well as songs made famous by great performers such as Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, and Fred Astaire. Much of the repertoire comes from musicals and films from the 1930s through today (we currently are featuring songs from the hit movie "Chicago"). We also have "hot" swing tunes from bands such as The Brian Setzer Orchestra, and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. As a ballroom dance band our focus is on the beat. Tempos and feel all are designed to maximize your experience whatever the dance style. Whether a fox-trot, swing, cha-cha, mambo, merengue, tango, waltz, or rhumba, we will keep you moving in perfect time. If you like to mix in a little "party" music we have a collection of classic dance tunes from the '50s '60s and '70s (Motown, Beatles, Santana, Earth Wind & Fire, and more). We are currently the featured ballroom dance band at the Mohonk Mountain House (a national landmark hotel) located just outside of New Paltz, New York in the beautiful Hudson Valley. We perform there year-round and would be pleased to invite you to one of our Saturday night performances to hear the band. At the present time we do not have a demo tape available. The Night Owls are available for all occasions, both private and corporate, where a sophisticated music style is desired. Whether a wedding, anniversary, charity ball, or corporate party, we can offer you a unique musical experience that is available by no other group in the Hudson Valley. Because of our central Ulster County location, we are available to perform in the New York City metropolitan area, the Albany area, the Berkshires, Western Connecticut and Northern New Jersey.
